Backend by trade, product-minded by habit.
I started on the frontend, building responsive interfaces and reusable React components, and moved deeper into the stack from there. That path shows in how I work: I think about the person using the screen and the system underneath it at the same time.
I hold a Bachelor of Science from IGNOU and a Diploma in Web Development from Arena Animation, and the rest I've learned by building. Outside of client work I build small, private-by-default tools that I actually use, and I publish them here.

Data first
Get the model and the indexes right and most performance problems never happen.

Measure, then optimise
Profiles and query plans over hunches. Fix the slow thing, not the suspicious thing.

Boring where it counts
Proven tools for the core, and experiments at the edges where they're cheap to undo.

Private by default
If the work can happen on the user's device, it should. Less data held is less data lost.
